First of all, Merry Christamas! I won't write long. I'm sure you have much better things to do today than read our blog. But, in case you are, I wanted to share with you a video we produced last year around Christmas time. It stars my beautiful wife Tasra doing what she does best—scrapbooking. Well, actually, she's narrating a video about her beloved grandfather, Ervin Engelson (who passed away about a decade ago). This is the ending segment of the video which was a tribute to the legacy he left in his family. Ervin was a war hero, a Godly man, a loving father, a devoted husband, and a terrific grandfather. He had a powerful effect on my wife and her life.
We gave this video as gifts to my wife's family last year, and there wasn't a dry eye in the house when we got to this part. The video is a mix of the interview with Tasra, photos, and best of all, super 8mm footage my wife's parents had stored for years. The montage of photos near the end is all the grand kids and great grand kids. As a special bonus, the end credits feature my little boy (about 10 months at the time). It seemed a fitting end. To go from the old to the new. Enjoy!
